Track Loaded In Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Won't Play

Jul 05, 2012 Traktor Pro 2 has all the standard features that you would find on a standard DJ mixer built into the software mixer. Before you can use the headphone cue options, you need to correctly set up. I can press play on a deck and see the waveforms, but the waveforms won't move and neither does the track itself. I've use traktor alone without the controller with just my computer + headphones and didn't have any issues. I loved traktor so much that I bought the S4 controller. Now I just want the tracks to play. Audio device: Traktor S4. The tags (Title, Artist, etc.) of greyed out tracks cannot be edited but you can load and play these tracks. When a track is loaded into a Deck, it is added to the Track Collection. We recommend editing your tags only in TRAKTOR's Track Collection. Mar 28, 2011 How to Sync Traktor Pro 2 + Ableton Live – Pt 2: Routing Audio. The problem is when i play in ableton a loop it sounds not in sync. What do i wrong? The metronome sounds perfectly matched just the loops or beats that i import in ableton doesn’t. Dec 27, 2012  I have been receiving a bunch of questions from people about their playlists. Many of you are having difficulty moving tracks within Traktor playlists, in other words, people have been unable to re- order tracks once you have created a playlist. You want to drag the tracks into a specific order, but Traktor just won't. Just got my Traktor S4 everything is working fine as per the manual but when i load the track and press play, the green light comes on (both pc and controller work fine together it seems) but the track doesnt play at all. Even when i press play on traktor software it shows green but the track doesnt show play movement. Help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I've noticed this happens every now and then when I'm playing live. I had the unit repaired a few months back to correct an issue with the jog of the unit scraping the mainboard. Ever since I've gotten it back it's had a new problem. Last time it happened I took a video.
Basically sometimes when I load a track into deck B on my S4, the track doesn't play at all. The loading light will flash like crazy, and the phase meter will go back and forth, but you will hear nothing, and nothing will show on the vu meter. This has happened a few times live, which is quite scary when the other track ends in a few seconds. I've gotten out of it by looping and reverting to deck D, but I can't continue to risk this happening. I took the unit in to Long and McQuade in Toronto for repair, yet they still won't do anything, despite this being the third or fourth S4 to die on me in two years and a performance warranty. Any advice for this situation?
I'm using a 2012 MacBook Pro with Traktor 2.6.1 and the latest drivers.

Traktor Playlist Problem

The Track Browser contains a lot of different columns, the first column being the ‘icon’ column. If you click the top of this this column, the tracks are then organized depending on what icons are showing:-

  • Lock – Tracks will be organized based on their locked state. Which means those that have their beats grids locked, will appear at the top.
  • Check mark or tick – Tracks will be organized based on their played state. Which means if a track has already been played in the most recent session it will appear at the top of the list.
  • Exclamation Mark – Tracks will be organized based on their missing status. Which means if a track can not be located by Traktor, then it will be marked with this exclamation icon and once sorted by this means, will be placed at the top of the playlist.

As you click the top of this first column, you will toggle between these three icons. Whilst the tracks are organized in one of these ways, you are unable to drag your tracks around to manually sort them into your preferred play order.

The Fix

Simply click the top of the second column, the number column. This column, the one titled with a hash simple (#), will remove the icon in the top of the first column and therefore free you up to drag and drop your tracks around into your preferred playlist order.
